Yesterday was a sew day for the ECMQG. For the three of us who showed up, we got a lot of work done! Faye brought in her super cute Singer Featherweight for piecing a quilt top.
Melissa basted and quilted an old WiP, which is just beautiful! She's keeping this beautiful quilt for herself, and she said it felt so good finishing something that she started so long ago.
Kelly S. (that's me) quilted and bound a custom quilt for an old high school friend's baby. It's a zig zag quilt using Essex Linen.
I was also able to finish the quilting on a pillow cover for the current round of Pillow Talk Swap on Flickr, but failed to get a picture of that.
All in all, we had a great time talking, sewing, and giving each other input on our projects.
Our next meeting is coming up this Friday, June 29 at Lynn's Sewing Center in Fort Walton Beach, starting at 10 am. Marcy will be giving us a long arm demo! I'm so looking forward to that! We'll also be showing off the name tags we made for our Name Tag Challenge. That reminds me, I should probably make mine! Can't wait to see what everyone makes.
Hope to see you there!
